This safari journey will lead you through the green countryside. You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Bwindi impenetrable national park is a habitat for nearly 350 birds’ species, 120 mammals and other insect species. The park is home to the endangered mountain Gorillas.
You will have a guided tour of the communities around Bwindi. Visit local beer brewers, Batwa communities and a vegetable farm. You can use this time to purchase souvenirs from the community.
Arrive at Kigali International Airport and be welcomed by our representative outside the customs and immigration hall, who will assist with immigration procedures. A transfer will take you to your city accommodation. An assisted check-in assures a smooth experience, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.
Pick up at your hotel by our driver guide. You will depart to Bwindi National Park. This drive will last 5- 6 hours. It will lead you through the green countryside with some rough road surfaces. Along the way you will enjoy spectacular views of tea plantations. You will proceed to your accommodation located in the foreground of Bwindi's impenetrable national park – The home of Mountain Gorillas in Uganda.
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters from where you shall be briefed and grouped for the Gorilla trekking exercise. You will be led by experienced ranger guides and guards off into the forests with trackers that assist in locating the gorillas by finding the nest the family had used the previous night.
Tracking gorillas on average takes 3 – 8 hours depending on how far the animals have moved. Watching gorillas in their natural habitat is a memory that will last a lifetime. The experienced ranger guides will willingly share with you a lot of information about history and lifestyle of the Gorillas. You will spend an hour following, observing and photographing the Gorillas as they feed, play and groom each other. After the experience, you will exit Bwindi Forest and rest at your accommodation.
After breakfast at the lodge, check out and drive to Kigali via the Cynika border point. Have lunch in Kigali and explore the green Kigali city, visit Kigali Genocide Memorial Center.

Visit the Genocide Memorial located just outside of Kigali City Centre in the Gasabo district, Kigali Genocide Memorial & Museum started by a partnership of the Kigali City Council and the UK-based Aegis Trust. The center is extremely moving, challenging, educational, and ultimately inspiring as well as a great place to understand the cause, tragedy, and successful rebuilding post-genocide.
